BMW Championship
Player Transportation

New, as of 2023, the BMW Championship is part of Our schedule.

After handling BMW courtesy vehicles for many tournaments over the years, I was excited to get involved with the BMW Championship in 2023 at Olympia Fields in IL.

The BMW Championship is being played in several locations, switching host courses year-after-year. Here is the list of cities and host courses for the next few years:

• 2023: Olympia Fields Country Club, Olympia Fields, IL
• 2024: Castle Pines Golf Club, Castle Rock, CO
• 2025: Caves Valley Golf Club, Owings Mills, MD
• 2026: Bellerive Country Club, Town and Country, MO
• 2027: Liberty National Golf Club, Jersey City, NJ
  

Starting with the PGA TOUR's 2022/2023 Season FedEx Cup Playoffs, the top 50 ranked players will qualify for the BMW Championship. The top 30 after the tournament will head to Atlanta for the PGA TOUR's final tournament of the season, the TOUR Championship.

What are our Player Transportation Committee duties?
Committee volunteers provide transportation to players, their family members and VIP guests before, during and after the tournament. Volunteers assist with the car inventory and control the distribution of the official tournament vehicles. The committee also assists in the return of vehicles after the tournament. Volunteers must be over 25 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Volunteers interested in this committee will need a background check. This Committee sometimes comes with some downtime due to the players' unpredictable schedule. If downtime allows, you may even have the chance to check out play in-person, if you are stationed closed to the course. Volunteering in this committee may involve early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

You get to drive some nice cars and get to meet some really nice people. On top of that, your time spent volunteering makes events like this possible and you are giving back. Beneficiary of the tournament is the Evans Scholars Foundation.

BMW Championship Volunteer Parking

Info for 2024 will be added once details are known.

Volunteer Parking Location in 2023:

All volunteers will park in the V -Lot located at the Concord Mall.

• 5001 Lincoln Highway, Matteson, Il 60443
• You will need a parking pass to get in each day. You will receive enough parking passes that correspond with your schedule. 
• If you are taking on an additional shift, please see your committee chair for an extra(s) parking pass.
• Your uniform and credential alone will not gain you access into the parking lot.
• You will proceed to take a shuttle to Gate 1 of the Championship.
• 3.3 Miles to Gate 1. (10 -minute shuttle to VHQ)
• Shuttles will be running all day
  

Volunteers should allocate extra time for travel prior to their shift.

Volunteer Uniform

The BMW Championship adult uniforms are provided by Peter Millar. Please wear your uniforms and credentials during your working shift. When you are a spectator, wear personal clothes, but use your credential to access the course. The volunteer package consists of the following items:

• 2 Peter Millar golf shirts
• 1 Peter Millar outerwear piece
• 1 hat or visor
• 1 clear BMW Championship branded bag
• 1 volunteer credetial, valid for entry all week
• Food and beverage vouchers on days you volunteer
